A train loaded with chemicals derailed in a region close to the Texas-Oklahoma state border in the USA and caught fire. A large number of firefighters responded to the fire.
It was stated that 98 wagons of the train, consisting of 28 wagons belonging to the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway Company, derailed at 10.00:25 local time and XNUMX of them caught fire.
It was reported that the teams at the Wichita Falls and Vernon fire brigades and Sheppard Air Force Base, which are close to the accident site, responded to the fire.
BNSF officials stated that the train carried denatured alcohol, also known as ethanol, and explained that it is not yet known why the train derailed.
