Above comfort and luxury

The new heavy-duty truck Actros L, where Mercedes-Benz offers truck drivers the next level of comfort; raises the bar for success in luxury, comfort, safety and technology to the next level. With StreamSpace, BigSpace and GigaSpace options and an extremely spacious interior, Actros L's driver's cabin is 2,5 meters wide. The vehicle, which has a flat floor thanks to the absence of an engine tunnel, offers a comfortable environment in the cabin. Improved noise and thermal insulation blocks engine noise while driving and prevents unwanted and disturbing noises from reaching the cabin to help the driver relax, especially during breaks.

Actros L; It also features various equipment details aimed at increasing the comfort and convenience of the driver, including stylish seat covers, a comfortable mattress with a thickness of 45 mm at the top as standard in GigaSpace cabins, and a cabin rear panel with a pleasant surface in the bed area. The feeling of spaciousness in the environment can be further enhanced by using interior accessories from Mercedes-Benz.

In Actros L, the seating position has been lowered by 40 millimeters for a more comfortable driving position and road visibility. In addition, the newly designed LED headlights with higher light intensity than Xenon headlights provide excellent illumination of the road and add a more characteristic appearance to the vehicle. Together with the LED headlights, a significant contribution is made to safety, especially during journeys in dark environments. LED headlights, which save more energy than halogen headlights, also offer a longer service life.

Actros L sets new standards in technology and safety

Aiming to help make road traffic as safe as possible by using active safety assistance systems, Mercedes-Benz is one step closer to realizing its vision of accident-free driving with the Actros L. This vision is evidenced not only by Lane Keeping Assistant, Distance Control Assistant, MirrorCam, which replaces the main and wide-angle mirrors, but also by a host of other safety features.

The Actros L 1851 has a different function that can potentially save lives compared to the previous system, thanks to Active Sideguard Assist (Active Side View Assist), which is standard in the LS Plus equipment level and optionally available in other equipment levels. This new system, called "Active Sideguard Assist", no longer only warns the driver of active pedestrians or cyclists on the front passenger side. The system is also capable of initiating automatic braking at turning speeds of up to 20 km/h in order to stop the vehicle if the driver does not respond to the warnings in a timely manner. Active Sideguard Assist is able to recognize the need for such a braking maneuver and, in an ideal scenario, avoid a possible collision.

Active Driving Assistant supports drivers with its second generation

The second generation Active Driving Assistant (ADA 1851), which is standard in the Actros L 2 LS Plus equipment level and optionally available in other equipment levels; In addition to actively assisting the driver under certain conditions with the vertical and horizontal steering of the truck, it can also automatically maintain the distance to the vehicle in front. This system, which can accelerate the truck, can also steer when necessary system conditions such as sufficient turning angle or clearly visible lane lines are met. In addition, the ADA 2 is equipped with the Emergency Stop Assist function, which can apply the emergency brake when the driver does not control the steering wheel despite visual and audible warnings. The system, which can automatically activate the new electronic parking brake if the truck comes to a stop, can also unlock doors to help paramedics and other first responders reach directly to the driver in an emergency.

The Actros L is also equipped with Active Brake Assist 5 (Active Brake Assist 5) with pedestrian detection. System; It helps to prevent accidents such as there is a risk of frontal collision with a pedestrian, the driver is distracted, the following distance between vehicles is too short, the truck collides with a moving or stationary vehicle in front of it due to an unsuitable speed. ABA 5 operating using a combined radar and camera system; If it detects the risk of an accident with a vehicle in motion, a stationary obstacle or a person (passing in front of the vehicle, coming towards the vehicle, walking in the same lane with the vehicle or stopping suddenly in fear), it first warns the driver visually and audibly. The system can initiate partial braking in the second stage if the driver does not respond appropriately. Responding to the person on the move, in case the danger of collision persists, ABA 5 can perform automatic full stop braking at vehicle speeds up to a maximum speed of 50 km/h.

Aiming to support the driver as much as possible within certain limits with all these systems, Mercedes-Benz also underlines that the driver is the person who is fully responsible for the safe use of the vehicle, as stipulated by the laws.

What's new with the new model year

In addition to the Actros L innovations, additional model year innovations were introduced in the Actros L 1848 LS, Actros L 1851 LS and Actros L 1851 LS Plus models offered for sale in Turkey. Actros L 1848 LS, Actros L 1851 LS and Actros L 1851 LS Plus models are transitioning to Euro VI-E emission norm, and instead of water type retarder, oil type retarder is used.

Actros L 1848 LS and 1851 LS models are equipped with an improved AGM type battery, which can easily meet the higher power demands of high-tech vehicles, is maintenance-free, has a long life and can operate at high capacity even at low temperatures. In addition, with the LED signal design, the Actros L 1848 LS has a more characteristic appearance. While the Distance Control Assistant and the Comfort and Suspension Assistant Seat are standard in the Actros L 1851 LS; In the Actros L 1851 LS Plus model, Style Line and InteriorLine design concepts, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound technology and Enhanced Sound System with 7+1 speaker arrangement started to be offered as standard equipment.

Along with the Actros L, the largest and most equipped model of the Actros series, which sets the standards in the sector, Mercedes-Benz Türk will maintain its leadership in the truck market in 2022 with its new features in the series and will continue to consolidate its market leadership with firm steps.
