Transportation stopped as a result of the sliding TIRs on the 50th kilometer of the Gaziantep-Adana highway blocked the road. Many people were trapped in hundreds of vehicles. While efforts were made to open the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep highway to transportation with the intense mobilization of the security forces, nearly 2 of the trapped people were rescued. M900K 4×8 Rescuer vehicles participated in the efforts to open the highway to traffic and rescue the stuck trucks. Two M8K 4×8 rescue vehicles in the inventory of the Land Forces Command participated in the rescue activities.
In the statement made by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, “In coordination with the Gaziantep Governorship; 2 helicopters belonging to our Land Forces Command were assigned to provide sanitary evacuation for our citizens stuck on the Adana-Gaziantep highway, which was closed due to snow, and to deliver food aid to the region. In addition, 2 towing vehicles were assigned to rescue the TIRs stuck on the road and support activities were started in the region. Our Turkish Armed Forces are ready for duty with all their means and capabilities if needed.” statements were included.

Deliveries have been successfully completed within the scope of the Partially Protected Mine Rescue (MKKKK) project developed by MPG Makine Production Group. After the first mass production delivery of 2020 prototype and 1 units in March 4, mass production deliveries continued in April 2020. In this context, 5 more Mine Rescuer M4K vehicles with Partially Protection Against Mines were delivered to the security forces in April. With the last delivery of 8 vehicles, a total of 18 vehicles were delivered. With the last delivery, 29 MKKKK vehicles entered the inventory of the Land Forces Command.
Additional M4K Supply Contract Signed with MPG
Within the scope of the "Partially Protected Mine Rescue Vehicles" project to be procured in order to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, MPG Makina Prodüksiyon Grubu Makina İmalat San.
