President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan opened the Karaman-Konya High Speed Train Line, which has been expected for years. Erdogan announced after the opening that the Konya-Karaman YHT (High Speed Train) line will be free for a week.

President Erdoğan arrived in Konya for the opening of the Konya-Karaman High Speed Train line. Addressing the public here, Erdoğan made the much-anticipated opening. In his statement, Erdoğan said: “Was it the high-speed train dream of those who came before us? We made dreams come true. We took the train from Ankara and enjoyed this fast, safe and comfortable transportation vehicle with you to Konya. This project, which we see as a different meeting of His Holiness Haji Bayram Veli and His Holiness Mevlana, has made millions of our people happy and served them since its inception.

How many days is the Konya-Karaman High Speed Train free?

Erdogan asked the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, how much the Konya-Karaman High Speed Line is? Learning that it is 35 liras, Erdoğan gave the good news that the line will be free for one week, and let this be the charity of this line.

More convenient, easier, more economical

Emphasizing that going to Ankara, Eskişehir and Istanbul by train is now more comfortable, easier and more economical than other means of transportation for the people of Konya, Erdoğan said, “Now, we are taking this opportunity one step further, extending it to Karaman. Today, we are starting a new era by opening the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line. Hopefully, this step will be followed by Karaman-Ulukışla, then Mersin and Adana, and then Osmaniye and Gaziantep routes. When we add the Ankara-Sivas line, which has trial flights, all four parts of our country will be accessible by fast or high-speed train for Konya,” he said.
