Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu examined the Yayalar station construction site of Pendik Tavşantepe-Sabiha Gökçen Airport metro line.

Speaking to reporters here, Karaismailoğlu announced that the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line will be put into service on Saturday, January 8th.

In his statement, his journalists said the following about the high-speed train works:

“In urban transportation, 159,2 different projects of 13 kilometers are working on a 7/24 basis. We show the same care we show to urban public transportation in intercity rail transportation. Our work on the 5.176 kilometer railway line continues intensively. We put the Konya-Karaman high-speed train line into service on Saturday. Ankara-Sivas, Halkalı-Ispartakule-Çerkezköy, Çerkezköy-Edirne-Kapıkule, Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli, Mersin-Adana-Gaziantep, Karaman-Ulukışla, Aksaray-Ulukışla-Mersin Yenice, Ankara (Yerköy)-Kayseri, which will also combine two international airports, Gebze-Sabiha Gökçen Airport-Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge -Istanbul Airport-HalkalıOur work continues on the Çatalca high-speed train lines.”

Touching on freight transport as well as passenger transport, Karaismailoğlu said, “We are effectively connecting our railway network, which also includes high-speed train lines, with ports and industrial zones. We will further increase the production of domestic and national vehicles and equipment in railways with our National Electric Train, which we will put into the service of our nation as of this year.” said.
