Gülüzar Özev, President of the Association of Women Accountants, received the Civil Society and Social Impact Award of the Year. Women who play an active role in the economy, guide the business world and break new ground in social responsibility projects received their awards at the 4th Women Entrepreneurs Support Summit with the main theme of “A Better Future Together”.
Gülüzar Özev, the Founder and President of the first Association of Women Accountants in our country, was deemed worthy of the award in the "Civil Society and Social Impact" category for her successful work in non-governmental organizations and received the award from the President of Osmanbey Textile Business People Association (OTİAD) Eda Arpacı. .
At the summit held in Salt Galata, the “Women Will Shape the Future 7G” session was also held. In the award ceremony, which was sponsored by Uyumsoft, supported by Hepsiburada and organized by the New Search Initiative Platform (Yapder) Association, women who inspired the business world with their success stories shared their experiences at the summit.
Continuing projects beneficial to the profession and society
Explaining that the Association of Women Accountants (KAMUHDER) was founded seven years ago, the Founding President Gülüzar Özev noted that their aim is to increase women's solidarity and women's togetherness, and to protect both professional and woman-related problems, as well as the country's problems.
Gülüzar Özev, who underlined that they have done book reading activities dozens of times with the idea that awareness comes with reading, said:
“We will add new ones to the book reading events we have organized for my colleagues. In addition to our female members, our male colleagues attend our professional seminars. We play a very active role in creating employment and finding a job not only for women but also for men. We published the “Accountant Women” magazine for the first time. In the pandemic, we held meetings on zoom without being idle. Our next goal is to appeal to more audiences, to become more beneficial to the society and to institutionalize our activities effectively in line with this purpose. First of all, the award made me very happy. Before the foundation of the association, I had two years of work. I have been fighting for women's organization for about nine years and I have a lot of work. That's why when I heard about the award, I said "I deserved it". This was not just my opinion, even those who knew him from afar shared the same word and feeling. We immediately established a new working commission; We will continue to create projects that are beneficial to our profession and society.” said.
