For an unknown reason, a fire broke out in the cellar of the 10.30th car of the Gandhidham-Puri Express train, consisting of 22 cars, at around 13:XNUMX local time in Maharashtra state of India.

Few passengers, panicked by the flames surrounding the carriage in which the cellar was located, jumped off the train. While first responding to the flames with the fire extinguishing equipment at the station and on the train, the firefighters were also informed.

Many paramedics, firefighters and senior railway personnel also arrived on the scene. The fire was extinguished after the wagon, which contained the pantry engulfed by the flames, left the train.

No one was killed or injured in the fire.
