Kayseri Transportation Inc., a subsidiary of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. provided training on healthy and safe driving techniques to 525 personnel working in the chauffeur staff. Efficient driving techniques were also explained to the drivers during the 2-hour training, which was held in separate groups for two weeks.
Transportation Inc. Emphasizing the importance of safe driving, theoretical information was given on topics such as which foodstuffs bring sleep and how to cope with the negative effects of chronic diseases. It was emphasized that the concept of safe driving is not the driver's ability on the bus, but the quality and harmony of the individual's behavior in traffic.
Necessary precautions were taken on the empty land next to the Wonderland Science Center and practical trainings were given to the drivers. Safe driving techniques were emphasized in order for the driver to be well aware of the features and limits of the vehicle he/she drives and to provide driving dominance in the vehicle.
With the training given, it was aimed to provide the participants with the right driving habits, to prevent possible traffic accidents and to reduce the rate of fuel consumption.
The trainings were given to the drivers practically and theoretically on many subjects such as panic braking, slalom, and obstacle avoidance.
