Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlupaid a condolence visit to the family of Infantry Corporal Enes Koç, who was martyred as a result of the detonation of the handmade explosives laid by terrorists on the border line in Şanlıurfa's Akçakale district. İmamoğlu, who went to his house in Şehidin Bahçelievler Fevzi Çakmak District, together with the Deputy Secretary General of IMM Şengül Altan Arslan, shared the pain of the Koç family. Expressing his condolences to Martyr Corporal Koç's father Cemalettin Koç and mother Emine Koç, İmamoğlu gave the message that they are with the grieving family.
On January 8, 2022, on the Akçakale/Şanlıurfa border line, Infantry Lieutenant Murat Alyakut, Infantry Contract Private Ertuğrul Ulupınar and Infantry Corporal Enes Koç were martyred as a result of the explosion of the handmade explosives laid by terrorists.
