Making a statement about the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project, CHP Bursa Deputy Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu said, “The response from the Ministry reveals that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project, the foundation of which was laid in 2012, will not be completed before 2025. Those who said “it will end in 2020” before the election, then moved the date to 2023.” said.

In its response, the Ministry stated that the railway infrastructure manufacturing continues between Bursa and Yenişehir, and that the externally financed tender process for the infrastructure works between Yenişehir and Osmaneli and the superstructure of the entire line has been completed, and said, “The loan negotiations were concluded by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the loan agreement was signed. In the near future, the procedures regarding the entry into force of the contract and the delivery of the site will be completed. Stating that the project is planned to be completed in 36 months following the site delivery, Altaca Kayışoğlu said, "While entering the general elections on June 24, 2018, in the statements made by the government, it was stated that high-speed train services would start between Bursa-Ankara in 2020. The response from the Ministry reveals that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project, the foundation of which was laid in 2012, will not be completed before 2025. Those who said "it will end in 2020" before the election, then moved the date to 2023. The response of the Ministry now reveals that this too is a dream. Why didn't those who made these promises fight for the project to be finished at least in 2023? Why did they not stand by their words when they promised the people of Bursa and asked for votes?

Expressing that the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project has caused frustration in Bursa, CHP Bursa Deputy Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu said, “Those who have not been able to bring the high-speed train to Bursa for 10 years cannot bring it after this hour. We promise the people of Bursa as the Nation Alliance that will bring out 13 Presidents. Bursa residents will travel to Ankara by High Speed Train under our rule. As the representatives of the government, we will follow the Bursa-Ankara High Speed Train Project with the same sensitivity as we have followed up until now as the opposition parliamentarian. The fact that one of Turkey's most important industrial cities lags behind in both rail and air transportation is the greatest injustice done to Bursa by the governments. As members of the Nation Alliance, which will remove the 13th President, we will put an end to this injustice. Bursa will get what it deserves from Ankara," he said.
