Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş announced that the Boyner building, which is located in the Historical Bazaar and Hanlar Region Çarşıbaşı Urban Design Project, will be demolished in March.
Meeting with businessman Aziz Torun, the owner of 'Zafer Plaza and Korupark' in Istanbul, Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş said in a statement on his social media account, "He met with Aziz Torun, the Chairman of the Board of Torunlar REIC, to discuss the latest details about the demolition of the Boyner building. we talked. We hope to demolish the Boyner building at the end of March. I would like to thank Mr. Aziz for his contribution.”
President Alinur Aktaş, who started her speech at the opening ceremony of Mustafakemalpaşa Nursery Child Education Center by giving good news to the people of Bursa, said, “We came together with Businessman Aziz Torun in Istanbul. You know, someone has been flying balloons for months, saying, 'They destroyed everything in the Khans region, they are not demolishing the Boyner building'. I hope we will destroy it in March, don't worry, by Allah's leave. I said something when I took office. He said, 'We will make Bursa beautiful not only by building but also by destroying it'. Don't get me wrong, it's a very bold statement for a mayor and hard to break. We came not to destroy hearts, but to make hearts, but we will do what is necessary to make the city beautiful," he said.
