Adana Metropolitan Supports Seasonal Agricultural Workers Affected by Rainfall

Adana Metropolitan Municipality distributed food, clothing, blankets, pillows, food parcels and wood to seasonal agricultural workers, and carried out work to eliminate puddles with construction equipment in the area they live in.

Adana Metropolitan Municipality Derman Teams extended a hand of compassion to seasonal agricultural workers in the Zeytinbeli District of the Yumurtalık District of Adana, who were adversely affected by the rains.

While all the units of Adana Metropolitan Municipality are working to meet the shortcomings of the citizens who have been damaged by the rains affecting the city, Derman teams, which play an important role in determining the needs and delivering them to the citizens, are working hard.

Derman Teams, formed by Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar to always be with the people and to identify problems directly, served hot meals, soup and distributed basic food parcels to seasonal agricultural workers living in Zeytinbeli Neighborhood of Yumurtalık District. Derman teams, who visited the people who were placed in the pension by the Yumurtalık District Governorate and the citizens who continue to stay in their tents, offered hot food and soup to the citizens, and gave blankets, pillows, carpets, wood, clothes and food parcels to the citizens.

WATER DISCHARGED, GRAVEL SPILLED, HAMBURGER AND SHOES DISTRIBUTED TO CHILDREN

The rain water in the area where the tents are located was evacuated with the work of ASKİ teams. Anticipating the continued rains and the risk of flooding the area where the tents are located, the teams moved the tents to another area they prepared with six truckloads of gravel and prevented possible new grievances of the citizens.

Derman teams made an effort to make them forget the negativities they had experienced, by distributing hamburgers and shoes to the children.

Seasonal agricultural workers thanked Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar for the services rendered and for being with them in difficult times.
