Turkey's Divided Road Length Reached 28 thousand 546 Kilometers

By putting 2021 kilometers of divided roads into service in 350, our divided road network has reached 28 thousand 546 kilometers. Traffic safety has increased thanks to the divided roads that connect a total of 77 provinces with each other.

With the uninterrupted traffic flow achieved as a result of increasing the operational performance of the roads, we have contributed 13 billion liras to the country's economy, including labor savings of 25 billion liras and fuel savings of 38 billion liras on an annual basis, reducing emissions by 4,44 million tons.

Construction of 2021 tunnels with a length of 61 kilometers was completed in 31

By completing the construction of 2021 tunnels with a length of 61 kilometers in 31, the number of tunnels serving in our country reached 466 and the total tunnel length reached 651 kilometers.

It is aimed to increase our tunnel length to 2023 kilometers by 720 in order to provide safer and more comfortable travel opportunities for road users.

2021 bridges with a length of 23,7 kilometers were built in 148

The General Directorate of Highways, which has implemented bridges of global importance in terms of transportation policies, engineering and technology, completed the construction of 2021 bridges of 23 kilometers in 148 and put them into service. Thus, the number of bridges serving in our country has reached 9 thousand 584 and their total length has reached 724 kilometers. This length is aimed to reach 2023 kilometers by 771.
