The decision regarding the free use of public transportation services for health workers, which was taken until 31 December in Bursa, has been extended until 28 February.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues its support to the health heroes who are at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic and work with great devotion by depriving them of their families, children and loved ones. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has always been with the health workers with accommodation, free use of public transportation, vitamin C support packages and a souvenir forest, has extended the period of free use of public transportation.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which gave health workers the right to benefit from public transportation free of charge in March 2020, re-activated the application, which ended on July 1, 2020, on October 23, 2020, 'with the peak of the pandemic'. The duration of the application, in which a total of 24 thousand 628 people received health worker cards, was extended until May 16, 2021, the last day of the full closure. Within the scope of the Gradual Normalization Measures published by the Ministry of Interior on the last day of the full closure, the period of free use of public transportation by health workers was extended until 1 June 2021. With the decision taken unanimously at the November meeting, the Metropolitan Municipality Council decided that all health workers in Bursa would benefit from public transportation vehicles free of charge until 31 December 2021 with their specially issued cards.

Considering that the fight against the pandemic continues uninterrupted and the risk of epidemic has not disappeared, the Metropolitan Municipality extended the right of health workers to benefit from public transportation free of charge until February 28, 2022. The application, which will also be valid for green public buses and intra-district public buses, will not be valid for inter-district transportation lines and tourism lines (F3, E-80).
