The high-speed train project, which will connect the provinces of Konya and Karaman, will be opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today. Citizens are wondering how much is the Konya-Karaman YHT tickets, which will make the lives of citizens living in the region easier. It is estimated that the ticket prices of the YHT line, which will reduce the 1 hour and 15 minutes between Konya and Karaman to half an hour, will be competitive with the bus ticket prices. Konya-Karaman YHT ticket prices are expected to be clarified in the coming days.
It has been reported that with the implementation of the high-speed train project, the distance between Konya and Karaman will decrease from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 35 minutes and a high-speed train connection will be established between the Marmara, Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean regions. In the statement, it was emphasized that there are 102 vehicle underpasses, 21 vehicle overpasses and 20 pedestrian underpasses on the 15-kilometer Konya-Karaman high-speed train line route.
Efforts to extend the high-speed rail network in Turkey to Erzincan in the east, İzmir in the west, Kapıkule in the northwest, Mersin and Adana in the south and Gaziantep in the southeast are continuing.
While the high-speed rail transportation service under the name of High Speed Train was carried out directly by TCDD between 2009 and 2016, it started to be provided by TCDD Transportation as of 2016.
