Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues its disinfection and sterilization efforts against the risk of epidemic disease in the trams where thousands of passengers are transported every day. In addition to routine cleaning inside and outside the vehicle, vehicles are disinfected in detail with imported biocidal products approved by the Ministry of Health and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for protection and control against Covid-19.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which attaches great importance to public health, continues its cleaning works in the trams that serve throughout the city so that the citizens can travel in a healthy and clean environment. Providing the transportation of tens of thousands of passengers a day, the Metropolitan Municipality carries out daily cleaning work inside and outside the vehicle on trams. Stating that with the increasing number of cases in recent days, citizens have started to feel uneasy while using public transportation, Metropolitan Municipality officials stated that all vehicles are regularly cleaned and disinfected, and that citizens can safely choose public transportation.
Noting that disinfection studies are carried out with imported biocidal products approved by the Ministry of Health and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the officials stated that citizens should also pay attention to the mask and distance rules in the vehicle. Stating that routine cleaning is carried out at tram stops as well as vehicle cleaning, Metropolitan Municipality officials said, “It is very important for us that our citizens travel in a clean environment in public transportation. In this context, we carry out cleaning work both on our trams and at our stops. We disinfect our vehicles with biocidal products approved by the Ministry of Health and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In addition, we regularly fill up the hand disinfectants that we offer to our citizens in our vehicles. We want our citizens to be sensitive to Covid-19 when they prefer public transportation. If our passengers do not remove their masks during their transportation and pay attention to the use of disinfectants, we will reduce the risk of contamination to a minimum, and they invited citizens to be sensitive to the epidemic.
