Bağcılar Municipality Health Affairs Directorate warned the residents of the district that endangered dog breeds must be neutered until 14 January 2022. It was stated that the dog owners who do not perform this action will be penalized with a penalty of 14 thousand 982 TL as per the law.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the American Pitbull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasilerio, Japanese Tosa, American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bully breed dogs are included in the list of dangerous animals. After the sterilization, vaccination, microchip and control procedures of these dangerous dog breeds are completed, they will be registered by the provincial or district agriculture and forestry directorates.

Fines for violating the rules

Bagcilar Municipality Health Affairs Directorate reminded that the last day for sterilization and microchip application of dogs, which are described as "dangerous breeds", is January 14, 2022 and warned animal owners. Owners of these dog breeds who do not complete the sterilization and registration process until January 14, 2022 will be subject to an administrative fine of 14 thousand 982 TL per animal and the prohibited breed animals will be confiscated.

On the other hand, in the statement made by the municipality; It was said, "For the healthy life of our stray friends living in our district, you can get internal/external parasites and rabies vaccines free of charge at our Animal Shelter and Observation Center between 14:00 and 16:00 on weekdays."
