Countdown for Agroexpo International Agriculture and Livestock Fair

The introductory meeting of the Agroexpo 2th International Agriculture and Livestock Fair, which will be held by Orion Fair Organization on February 6-17, hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Özuslu: “Local governments also have responsibilities”

Expressing that Izmir is a city of fairs and congresses, Deputy Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Mustafa Özuslu, explained the economic revival in the city during the fair periods with examples. Özuslu said, “When we say 'Another Agriculture is Possible', we are talking about the fight against poverty and drought. Nature is getting more and more brutal. Fire, flood, earthquake… Local governments, as well as governments, have a great responsibility in dealing with these. When you say agriculture, drought comes to mind, when you say drought, agriculture comes to mind. We need to consider them together. This is the reason why we, as Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, support the small producer. Every farmer and producer should be fed in the place where he was born. We will continue this approach. We will support and enlarge agricultural fairs," he said.
