Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to support, develop and expand Turkish arts, the “21. Applications for the "State Turkish Arts Competition" begin on January 24.
The State Turkish Arts Competition, which has been held since 1986 and has a distinguished place in the field of traditional Turkish arts, ensures that our deep-rooted cultural heritage is transferred to the future with the most elegant lines.
The competition, organized by the General Directorate of Fine Arts affiliated to the Ministry, aims to encourage young people to produce original works by making use of tradition.
Within the scope of the competition organized with the slogan "From Tradition to the Future", works in the "Hüsn-i Calligraphy", "Glittering" "Miniature" "Tile" "Marbling" "Pencil" and "Solid" branches will be evaluated and a total of 574.000 TL will be awarded for the winning works.
Applications for the competition can be made online at gorselsanat.ktb.gov.tr between January 24 and March 3, 2022.
