1915 Çanakkale Bridge Increased Industrialists' Interest in the City

Çanakkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ÇTSO) President Selçuk Semizoğlu said, “We were having great difficulty in delivering the fruits, vegetables, fish and milk of Çanakkale to Istanbul. With the bridge, Çanakkale's production will gain momentum and accessibility will increase," he said.

During the construction process of the 18 Çanakkale Bridge, which was planned to be opened on March 1915 by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, industrialists' interest in the city also increased. Çanakkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ÇTSO) President Selçuk Semizoğlu said that there were no parcels left for investment in the two organized industrial zones and said, “It was very difficult for us to deliver the fruits, vegetables, fish and milk of our Çanakkale to Istanbul. I think that with the bridge, Çanakkale's production will gain momentum, accessibility to Çanakkale will increase and it will become a much more attractive place.” Stating that the demand for Çanakkale has increased with the bridge and they are among the provinces receiving immigration, Semizoğlu said that they are waiting for investors.
