Before the diving fair to be held in Moscow, the capital of Russia, a consultation meeting was held in Kemer. Kemer Municipality Mayor Necati Topaloğlu, Underwater Photographer Adnan Büyük and Octobus Diving Center owner and diving instructor Ali Sivrikaya attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the participation of diving schools in Kemer to the Moscow Diving Fair, which will be held on February 17-20, with the support of Kemer Municipality, and the introduction of Kemer's underwater beauties were discussed.
In addition to Kemer's underwater beauties, the fair aims to promote the best diving spots, revive diving tourism and attract more tourists to Kemer.
Making a statement on the subject, Mayor Topaloğlu said that Kemer has beauties under water as well as above ground.
Noting that there are guests who come to Kemer for serious diving, Mayor Topaloğlu said, “Before the pandemic, there were around 100 thousand divers. This is a very good number. We are working on how we can increase this number even more. Diving fair will be held in Russia. We will send the diving schools in Kemer to the fair and we will cover their expenses as a municipality. They will introduce Kemer's underwater beauties at the fair. It's all about promotion. As Kemer Municipality, we will continue to support the promotion.” he said.
Diving tourism is a savior in many countries
Underwater Photographer Adnan Büyük stated that they held a meeting with Mayor Topaloğlu before the fair and said:
“Actually, we have a big advantage. Russians visit Kemer the most. We want to use this. We will open a booth at the fair in Moscow. We have an idea so that we can make a presentation and enter the next year prepared. Diving tourism is actually a savior in many countries. We cannot introduce the underwater beauties of Kemer enough. We can't make any publicity, especially to the Russians. Our aim is to better introduce our region to the Russians.”

Octobus Diving Center owner and diving instructor Ali Sivrikaya also stated that the meeting with President Topaloğlu was very productive.
Expressing that Mayor Topaloğlu will give full support to the fair as a municipality, Sivrikaya said, “We thank our president for his support. At the fair, we will invite the Russians to see the underwater beauties of Kemer. There are very good diving spots in Kemer. Paris 2 Wreck is already the most diving place. Pati Wreck, the three islands and other dive sites attract a lot of attention. I think we don't know much about these places. Today's meeting was a meeting to reverse this. In the future, we will solve the lack of publicity by getting the support of Kemer Governor Yücel Gemici and non-governmental organizations.
