Culture sanjak in Bursa

Stating that the implementation of the Cultural Capital of the Turkish World is a very serious opportunity for the promotion of Turkey, Minister Ersoy said, “This relic, which started with Astana in 2012 and has been carried from hand to hand in the Turkish world like a cultural banner, is now in Bursa as of New Year's Day. It is necessary to seize this opportunity and explain Bursa very well. Because if we want to be understood, we must be well known, and if we want to be known, we must explain ourselves very well. Of course, we do not have enough time to give every detail, including Bursa. Because Bursa is the land of civilizations, Bithynia, Lydia, Persia, Rome, Byzantium, Anatolian Seljuks and Ottomans, the direction of history has been determined here. Isn't it, when we say Bursa and Cumalıkızık, the Cihan State from the Kayı tribe is a cradle of history that turned into the Ottoman Empire. Therefore, we come across Bursa, the place where the world history began to change. It is important to see the title of Cultural Capital of the Turkish World as an opportunity to raise Bursa to the position it deserves in different fields. From traditional sports organizations to fairs and festivals, from concerts and talks to exhibitions, I hope 2022 will be a year in which Bursa will make a difference. In this context, I invite everyone to visit Bursa in 2022, when many different doors will be opened from science to sports and art, and to embrace culture from traditional to modern.”
