Turkish Space Agency (TUA); Within the scope of the Turkish World 2040 Vision Document, he attended the 1st Meeting of Space Agencies and Organizations of the Organization of Turkish States in order to initiate cooperation studies in space-oriented studies. The meeting took place in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Raziya Buralkhiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Aviation and Space Committee of the Ministry of Aviation Industry and General Manager of the Hungarian Energy Research Center Dr. Akos Horvath, Head of the Space Department of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan Ashir Garayev (online) and Deputy Secretary General of the Turkish States organization Mirvokhid Azimov.

Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States; Expressing that cooperation in the field of space was initiated within the scope of the decisions taken at the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkish States held in Istanbul on 2021 November 8, he stated that the Secretariat is ready to provide coordination to carry forward all efforts in this direction.

TUA President Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım said in a statement to the press, “We are taking a historic step, the importance of which will be understood more in the coming years. We have to be strong in space both to protect the rights of our own nations and to serve all humanity. Our aim here is purely peaceful. By continuing the space studies, we want to say to the whole world that we are also involved in these studies. This is what we gathered for. We are taking the first step. Getting started is half of finishing. We have taken a very important step by starting. We need to bring the continuation with the same enthusiasm.” made statements.

Space Studies under the umbrella of the Turkish States Organization

At the meeting, the parties made presentations on cooperation opportunities in this field under the umbrella of the Organization of Turkish States. Emphasizing the importance of increasing cooperation in the field of space, the parties agreed to form working groups on "spacecraft and infrastructure development projects and programs" and "education and space awareness programs".

The Parties also agree to work together on the joint use of satellite data from Member States' sources; sharing expertise in various applications in water management, monitoring of natural disasters, ecology, agriculture and the like; Design, manufacture and launch of a joint satellite by Member States; They decided to study the development of space standards to coordinate future cooperation, to promote capacity building and experience sharing programs in Aerospace Research and Development Activities.

At the end of the meeting, the parties accepted the meeting report containing the agreed points and the joint project proposals to be realized in the upcoming period. In the margin of the meeting, delegations visited AZERCOSMOS' Satellite Control Station.
