In order to contribute to environmental sustainability and at the same time achieve savings in costs, Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Inc. With the electric buses, which started to provide public transportation services, 130 thousand TL of fuel was saved on the roads covering a total of 500 thousand 395 kilometers, while 103 tons of carbon dioxide emissions were prevented.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which is almost an investor municipality in the field of saving and environment, to which Memduh Büyükkılıç attaches special importance, fully complies with the saving circular in the works carried out by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Technical Affairs Coordination in line with the Presidency's circular containing the 2023 targets on energy saving, while the works in the Metropolitan Within the scope of this, many areas were automated and the maintenance and repairs of the devices were also carried out.
On the other hand, Smart City applications provide automation in many points of the city, allowing services to be carried out in a fast, effective and economical way, while an environmentalist understanding of savings is maintained with projects such as smart irrigation, smart LED lighting, and smart intersections.
In addition, fuel savings and carbon dioxide reduction are achieved with the plans made for savings in public transportation, while the efforts to transform the plant products thrown into fertilizer and savings with the project of producing fertilizer from vegetable wastes continue.
On the other hand, through the Kayseri Water and Sewerage Administration (KASKİ), millions of tons of water loss and leakage were prevented, clean water was protected, and savings were achieved by bringing it into the economy.
