The workshop, which will be held at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Youth Campus between 17-18 December by the Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department in cooperation with the Social Business Global Association, will bring together social entrepreneurs from different countries of the world. It is aimed to create a data source and contribute to the entrepreneurship ecosystem of İzmir with the workshop where successful social entrepreneurship examples of countries will be examined. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which opened the Historical Havagaz Youth Campus in order to develop the entrepreneurship culture in İzmir, also put into service the “Entrepreneurship Center İzmir” in Konak Umurbey District in cooperation with TÜSİAD. The Metropolitan Municipality joined forces with the well-established business organizations and professional chambers of Izmir and ensured the establishment of the IzQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.
The FikrimİZ Unit, which was established within the Metropolitan Municipality, continues to work to take social entrepreneurship to a higher level in interaction with different institutions and organizations. At FikrimİZ, entrepreneurs who aim to solve social problems are provided with a joint working space, mentor and training support. Young Izmir Unit supports social entrepreneurship with capacity building programs for young people. In addition, the Young İzmir Digital Youth Center enables all young people to benefit from the trainings online. The Green Box (Virtual Studio) opened in the Historic Coal Gas Factory Youth Campus is also open to young entrepreneurs.
