An amusing challenge to neoliberal policies

The play "Tavşan Tavşanoğlu", directed by Yücel Erten, contains an amusing objection to those who use the motto "everything is fine..." despite the stuckness and despair imposed on the society by the free market economy and neoliberal policies. While discussing the system over the family, the smallest part of society, unexpected events turn into a fantastic adventure. The stage and clothing design of the play was undertaken by Özlem Karabay, the lighting design by Ruzhdi Aliji and the dramaturgist Halil Ünsal.

1946 to present

The City Theaters, which started in 1946 under the management of theater, film actor and director Avni Dilligil, and ended its four-year adventure, were tried to be brought back to life from time to time, but the attempts were inconclusive. In 1989, Prof. Dr. Özdemir Nutku tried to bring the name of City Theaters back to city life. However, this effort only survived for two years with the Mobile Truck Theater application.
