Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık announced that they started to deposit a total of 954 million TL of Home Care Assistance payments for the month of December, which was made to provide economic support to disabled citizens and their families in need of care.

Minister Derya Yanık stated that it is one of the primary goals to support disabled individuals who need care with their families, and stated that care services are provided in institutions to disabled citizens who cannot live on their own and cannot be cared for with their families.

Underlining that they implement policies for disabled citizens in line with their family-oriented social service vision, Minister Yanık said, “We support disabled people living with their families with service models such as day care services and home care assistance. With the home care assistance, which was started in 2006 with the idea of ​​supporting disabled people with their families, we also support our citizens who have a severely disabled relative who needs care and cannot work because they take care of them.

Minister Yanık, who said that 530 thousand citizens who took care of their disabled relatives in need of care were given "home care assistance", reminded that in this context, a monthly payment of 1798 TL was made per beneficiary. Minister Yanık said, “We started to deposit a total of 954 million TL of Home Care Assistance payments for the month of December, which was made in order to provide economic support to disabled citizens and their families in need of care. Payments will be completed by December 20. Thus, the total amount of the Home Care Assistance payment made in 2021 was approximately 11 billion TL. I wish the payments will be beneficial to all our disabled citizens," he said.
