At the panel moderated by Çetin Ünsalan, Member of the Board of the Economy Journalists Association, Günseli Özen, Chairman of the Board of Rota, Kenan Sertalp, Editor-in-Chief of Ekometer Newspaper, Perihan Çakıroğlu, Member of the Board of the Association of Economic Journalists, and Talip Yılmaz, Editor-in-Chief of the Economist Magazine attended as speakers.

Speaking first, Rota Publishing Chairman of the Board Günseli Özen noted that Düzce has just begun its journey when looking at the surrounding provinces and that it needs to be different from the surrounding provinces in order to become a brand. Özen said, “We need to look at Düzce's assets worth branding. There are natural beauties. The location is very nice and the climate is very good. There are unspoilt neighborhoods. It is necessary to protect them. There is a wealth of culture, tradition and history. It is necessary to determine the roadmap and proceed with the communication set. Let Düzce be open and it has values that can be a role model city for other cities.”

GASTRONOMY AND NATURAL BEAUTY SHOULD BE OPEN TO CULTURE

Kenan Sertalp, Editor-in-Chief of Ekometer Newspaper, who started his words by saying, “For the first time, we were invited to think about the 50 years of Düzce and prepare a road map”, said, “I congratulate you for the organization of this congress. It is admirable that they came together to draw attention to a point and talk about the future of Düzce. Gastronomy and ethnic cultures need to be brought to the fore. Natural beauties must be opened to tourism. Camp tourism will make Düzce even more famous in this regard," he said.

DUZCE WILL SHINE THE STAR IN LOGISTICS

Perihan Çakıroğlu, Member of the Writers Board of the Economic Journalists Association, said, “I think Düzce will come to the fore as a logistics center. There are very important companies. I liken Düzce a bit to Zurich. There is a balance when you go inside. After 50 years, Düzce will be like Zurich. Düzce's location also needs to be a center in terms of logistics. I think the leap point will be with logistics and industrialization.”

“WE MUST INVEST IN PEOPLE”

Talip Yılmaz, Editor-in-Chief of the Economist Magazine, said that it is important to invest in people for the growth of the economy. Stating that it is necessary to attract white-collar people to Düzce, Yılmaz said, “We must be thorough in health and education issues. Because white-collar people want these first. If we want to add value, we must first invest in people and then tend to tourism. "We have to market it," he said.
