TOGG CEO shared the domestic car release date

TOGG CEO Karakaş said, “We started in 2018. We plan to start production in 2022. 'Turkey's Car' will be on the roads in 2023. There was supposed to be 4-6 models in the basket. We will have 5 models.” made his statement.

Creating a post about the interview World newspaper writer Vahap Munyar, CEO Karakaş said that regarding the TOGG factory, he paid attention to zero emissions:

“There will be less than 5 grams/square meter volatile organic compound release. This amount corresponds to one-ninth of the legal limit in Turkey. That's one-seventh of the legal limit in Europe. It will be a zero emissions factory.”

We build more than factory. We are building the cleanest facility in Europe. So we're already starting with zero emissions. He pointed to an area adjacent to the factory: there was an airstrip. We are turning that area into an automobile test track.”

TOGG CEO Gürcan Karakaş also gave the good news that they started prototype tests for the first models that were assembled. “Turkey's Car” prototypes are currently continuing both engine and driving tests at the Gemlik Facilities.

According to TOGG CEO Karakaş, the airbag is activated to prevent the heads of the driver and the passenger sitting next to him from colliding during an accident. In other words, in the event of an accident, the airbag in between will be opened, thus preventing the heads from colliding with each other.

Karakaş also stated that after the crash tests of TOGG models, they examined the vehicles. The CEO said, “We are looking at which parts are affected by the collision and how. It will be a smart tool. You will feel that you are angry, tense, and the music that will calm you down will come into play.” said.

Stating that cyber collisions are possible thanks to mobility, Gürcan Karakaş stated that they are working on scenarios of how the vehicle will be affected in case of a cyber attack.
