This year's work of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearers Evaluation Board, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has been completed. At the board meeting held under the coordination of the Ministry's General Directorate of Research and Education, 606 masters were entitled to receive an "Artist Identification Card".

This year's meetings of the Board for Evaluation of Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearers, which are held every year in order to support traditional arts and artists, to train new masters, to increase the production and visibility of traditional arts and to reach large masses, have been completed.

The evaluation committee, consisting of academics, experts and heritage bearers, evaluated hundreds of artists in many fields from traditional handicrafts to Turkish decorative arts, from music to traditional theater, from the tradition of poets to literature.

As a result of the evaluations, it was decided to give an Artist Introductory Card to 606 masters who have traditional and historical knowledge about the art they perform, have reached a certain maturity in their field, and can apply new techniques regarding the art they perform without breaking with tradition.

Making a statement on the subject, Research and Education General Manager Okan İbiş stated that they have given Artist Identification Cards to 4 artists who are competent in their fields and meet certain conditions throughout Turkey. He stated that the number of artists registered to the Folk Culture Information and Documentation Center increased to 376, with 606 artists added as a result of the committee work completed this year.

Artists who are in danger of extinction with the radical and rapid changes brought about by the age of industrialization, modernization, globalization, consumption culture and technology are supported by sending them to events such as exhibitions, festivals and cultural days held in the country and abroad. being introduced.
