The construction of Çatalhöyük Promotion and Reception Center, which is being built by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, continues. Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay said that the center, which will cost a total of 43 million 556 thousand liras, will contribute greatly to both the promotion of Çatalhöyük and the development of Konya tourism.
Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they are working hard to make Konya a tourism city as well as being known as an agriculture and industry city, and stated that Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcome Center, which they are continuing to build, is one of the most important investments of Konya. .
Noting that Çatalhöyük, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, stands out as the oldest known living space in human history with a history of nearly 10 thousand years, Mayor Altay said, “We want to welcome the visitors to this historical and archaeological excavation site in the best way possible. We are building the Promotion and Welcome Center. The construction work of the center, which we laid the foundations of last August with the participation of our Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, has been completed at a rate of 40 percent. Thank you once again for your support. When the project is completed, it will contribute greatly to both the promotion of Çatalhöyük and the development of Konya tourism.” said.
It has a project area of 28.500 square meters; The center, where indoor and outdoor areas, bus parks and vehicle parks will be located, will cost 12 million 900 thousand liras, 43 million of which is 556 TL with the support of Mevlana Development Agency.
