Bursa, which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2014 with the candidacy file titled 'Bursa and Cumalıkızık: The Birth of the Ottoman Empire', prepared under the coordination of the Metropolitan Municipality, has now been filled with excitement by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. In Bursa, which was included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of 'craft and folk arts' with the works initiated by the Metropolitan Municipality with the slogan 'From the Traditional to the Universal' and supported by BEBKA and the Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate, the work in this field started without wasting time.
The Metropolitan Municipality discussed the works to be carried out for 4 years in the field of tile and silk-themed craft-folk arts together with the members of the coordination board. The meeting under the main title of 'Bursa Silk' was held at the Umurbey Silk Production and Design Center operating under the Metropolitan Municipality. At the meeting attended by the stakeholders involved in the process and the relevant unit chiefs of the Metropolitan Municipality, views were exchanged on the road map to be followed.
The tile-themed meeting was hosted by Iznik Municipality. At the meeting, which was attended by the Mayor of Iznik, Kağan Mehmet Usta, final evaluations were made regarding the preparatory work and the promotional program planned for the coming days.
