Argos in Cappadocia, which stands out with its activities intertwined with the arts, continues to support local artists while hosting world-famous names within the scope of the Artist in Residence program. Artist Hatice Abalı's illustration exhibition titled Fairies of Cappadocia 2021, who produces works with symbols unique to Cappadocia, can be seen at the Museum Hall in Argos in Cappadocia from 13 December.

Hosting world-renowned artists with the “Artist in Residence” project, inspired by the story of Argos and the magical geography of Cappadocia, Argos in Cappadocia continues to support local artists as well. Artist Hatice Abalı's illustration exhibition titled Fairies of Cappadocia 2021 opens its doors in the Museum Hall, one of the spaces that Argos in Cappadocia brought to the region through restorations.

Argos in Cappadocia adds a new one to its efforts to contribute to the cultural and historical texture of the region. In the exhibition titled Fairies of Cappadocia 13, which can be seen at the Museum Hall in Argos in Cappadocia from December 2021, the visual symbols and schemes unique to Cappadocia and Argos inspire the artist Hatice Abalı. In the exhibition, the artist interprets the horses, balloons representing the region, the valley, which is the scene of light and shadow plays at every movement of the day, the ladder based on fairy chimneys, pigeons and female figures with acrylic, watercolor and coffee techniques. In addition, the artist in the illustrations in the exhibition; It also presents the materials it uses in a visual form, using creative, different and highly personal ways for functions such as embellishing, entertaining, embellishing, commenting, informing, inspiring, surprising, enchanting and storytelling.

In her works, the artist Hatice Abalı conveys the Ottoman magazine clippings she has collected from antique markets for years and the cycle she heard, saw and imagined in her childhood on stones unique to the region by interacting creatively.

The exhibition, titled Fairies of Cappadocia 2021, takes visitors on a unique journey that defines the region from past to present, at the Museum Hall, starting from 13 December.
