Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the next generation communication satellite TÜRKSAT 5B to be launched will reach its orbit in 164 days, and said that the orbital tests of the satellite will continue for one and a half months. Noting that the satellite, which will serve for more than 35 years, will also take its place effectively in commercial sectors such as maritime and aviation, Karaismailoğlu said, "The one who does not have a trace in space has no power in the world."

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, spoke in the program "Turkey's Satellite Technologies Vision"; “We are getting ready to leave behind another very important turning point in our country's satellite and space travel. We all experience the pride of showing the youth of our country that there is no limit to dreams by realizing projects that could not even be imagined for years. We will send our TÜRKSAT 5B communication satellite off to space at 06.58:9 today with the Space X Falcon 5 rocket. We are increasing the number of active satellites in Turkey to 8 with TÜRKSAT 6B, which we will launch tomorrow. Our Turkey, which produces its own technology and mobilizes its domestic and national resources, catching a new era in every field of transportation and communication, is extremely determined to build its future. In line with this goal, the days when our domestic and national satellite Türksat XNUMXA will take its place in the space country are near,” he said.

“With sustainable work, which designs the future as well as today, supports the country's economy, is human-oriented, provides employment, is sensitive to the environment, is based on scientific foundations, adopts the principles of transparency, participation and sharing, does not ignore regional and global integration, uses our resources efficiently, and provides transportation services. Karaismailoğlu said that every project produced is for the comfort of the nation, increasing the quality of life, providing new employment opportunities and holistic development of Turkey from the village to the city.

Emphasizing that thanks to the new and effective breakthroughs made in the field of communication, as well as in the highway, railway, maritime and airline sectors, the Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, emphasized that they have been instrumental in Turkey's breakthrough in transportation and infrastructure, and continued as follows:

“We are increasing our investment activities within the framework of the policies that we have determined that will contribute to smart, environmentalist and holistic development. We have completed the construction of almost all of the East-West and North-South corridors, which are the main transportation axes of our country. We made our roads safer and more comfortable. We have overcome the difficult geographical conditions of our country with tunnels, bridges and viaducts. We increased our existing divided road network of 2003 kilometers before 6 to 100 kilometers. We initiated the railway reform in the railways that were neglected for more than half a century. In addition to the new line construction, we also renewed the existing conventional lines. We implemented the domestic and national signaling project. For the first time in railways, we started to produce railway vehicles and equipment with domestic designs. We continue our efforts by aiming to strengthen and expand the information and communication infrastructure, to expand the fiber and broadband infrastructure and its use, to develop effective competition in the sector and consumer welfare, to support domestic and national production, and to develop cyber security. In our country, which is the Transit Trade Center of the world, we have become one of the fastest developing countries in the world with our air transportation policies and activities. While we were flying to 28 destinations from 450 countries in 2003, we have reached 50 destinations in 60 countries today. We called our seas the Blue Homeland. This concept, as a common expression of our love for our seas, has settled in our hearts with the agreement of every political view and every segment. Starting from Turkey, which is a peninsula surrounded by seas on three sides, we have also made revolutionary developments in the field of maritime. In the first half of 127, the share of sea routes in exports increased by 329 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 2021 billion dollars.

WE INCREASED INVESTMENTS EVERY DAY

Noting that they are increasing their investments in the home country day by day, as can be seen from the figures, Karaismailoğlu said that they will never be satisfied with this. Explaining that they have mobilized all the possibilities to have a say in every inch of the Blue Homeland, Karaismailoğlu made the following assessments:

“Finally, there is one more place where we will have a say; Space Homeland. The excitement and enthusiasm we experience is too great to be put into words. Today, we are the country that launches two satellites into space in one year in order to have a say in Space Vatan. This step we have taken for Space Vatan is also the herald of greater and prouder stages. Let the whole world know that we will continue on our way with an ever-increasing claim in the Motherland, the Blue Homeland, and the Space Homeland. Our only concern is that our country has a strong satellite and communication network as well as its infrastructure. For this purpose, we work on a 7/24 service basis, and by offering all innovations in communication and communication to the service of our people, we lay the foundations for our young people to access all kinds of data in a faster and healthier way. We support them in today's competitive world. We have accelerated our communication and communication investments so that our young people can have a say in the world economy. At this stage, we have reached the scientific and technical infrastructure in our country to produce our own satellite.”

Stating that they are among the few countries in the world in satellite-supported value-added communication technologies, as in all other modes of transportation, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said that in the National Space Program announced by President Erdogan to the whole world on February 9, 2021, Turkey's 10 years in space He noted that he pointed to the details of his vision, strategy, goals and projects. Minister Karaismailoğlu underlined that communication satellites have a separate and important place in this program.

GREAT COUNTRIES, GREAT LEADERS SET “BIG TARGETS”

Karaismailoğlu said, “In the program, in which our institutional capacity in the space field is given great importance, the transition processes of our country from idea to practice have officially started thanks to rockets, satellites, ground systems and many more modern infrastructures.” It was pointed out that an important partnership of mind and power with all institutions and organizations, from the Presidency of Defense Industry to TAI, with our universities and the private sector. As a country that can manufacture and test its own satellite, Turkey has big goals for the next 10 years. In the next 10 years; Our goals are big, our power and effort is high, our work is high, our integrity is complete. All these goals may seem like dreams to some. Do not forget that great countries, great leaders set great goals, they work hard to achieve these goals. With these goals, we will take our place among the top 10 countries in the world that produce their own satellites.”

IT WILL BE OUR HIGHEST PAYLOAD CAPACITY

Pointing out that the TÜRKSAT 5B communication satellite, which will be sent into space tomorrow, will bring significant added value to Turkey's satellite and space studies and satellite-supported communication potential, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “TÜRKSAT 5B is in the category of High Efficiency Satellite class and has the highest payload capacity. We will have satellite. Our TÜRKSAT 5B satellite has at least 20 times more capacity than fixed satellite exhibition class satellites and will be able to use a higher capacity than the limited frequency range with its ability to reuse the same frequency range. This communication satellite will have a data transmission capacity of more than 55 Gigabits in total. With our new satellite, the existing Ka-band data transmission capacity will be increased by more than 15 times. The internet and communication infrastructure in air, sea and land, where it is not possible to transmit the communication by land, will be provided uninterruptedly at any location within the coverage area of TÜRKSAT 5B. With TÜRKSAT 5B taking its place in space, the coverage area and speed of TÜRKSAT's domestic and national satellite antenna family PeycON services will also increase. Thus, end-to-end broadband internet and communication will be provided on ships, in airplanes, in mountains where terrestrial infrastructure cannot reach, or in any place within the coverage area in case of a natural disaster. TÜRKSAT A.Ş. The 'Domestic Industry Contribution Program' determined by Türksat5B was also implemented. With the support of TÜRKSAT engineers, two communication equipment will be designed and manufactured in our country and used in TÜRKSAT 5B satellite. In this way, for the first time, the equipment designed and produced locally in a commercial communication satellite is sent to space with the TÜRKSAT 5B satellite. Having a launch weight of 4,5 tons and a power capacity of 15 kW, TÜRKSAT 5B has a new generation electric propulsion system.”
