Kağıthane Municipality is starting UAV-1 drone pilot trainings approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. In Kağıthane, a UAV-15 drone pilot training course will be opened specifically for young people between the ages of 25-1. With the project undertaken by Kağıthane Municipality, young people will be given theoretical and practical training on unmanned aerial vehicles, aviation rules, flight principles, meteorology, air traffic, control system, device maintenance and repair. If the trainees successfully pass the exam at the end of the training, which lasts for a total of 32 lesson hours, they will be entitled to receive a UAV-1 drone pilot certificate approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.

Applications for the free course with the quota limit can be made on the website of Kağıthane Municipality. Young people who apply will enroll in the course after passing the interview.

Kagithane Mayor Mevlüt Öztekin related to the project; “We wanted to involve our youth in the development of our country in the field of unmanned vehicle technology. Our young people will be able to become drone pilots at the end of these trainings. Moreover, we want them to master drone technology. With the knowledge they have gained about artificial intelligence and automation systems, I believe that our young people will have a say in the development of our country in this field in the future. We don't just train drone pilots, we instill an idea in this field.” said.
