Orhan Sümer, CHP Adana Deputy and Parliamentary Kit Committee Member, criticized the decision to move the wagon and locomotive workshops of the State Railways in Adana to the Logistics Center established in Mersin Yenice and brought the issue to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Orhan Sümer, the Palace Power, sold everything valuable in Adana from the history of the Republic to this day. Wherever there is a valuable public land in Adana, the Palace government immediately decides to privatize or sell it. Monopoly Buildings, TRT Building, Sümerbank Land, Highways Building, Agricultural Lands, Ministry of Finance Facilities were all sold with this understanding. Most of the Chukobirlik lands were privatized. Some of it was sold, a mall was built. Now, the wagon and locomotive workshops of the State Railways in Adana are being moved to the Logistics Center established in Mersin Yenice. What is the reason? No one knows. When the rent mafia sees a valuable land, it collapses on it, and the government adopts the same attitude for Adana.” Said.
“THE GOVERNMENT ORDERED TO DESTROY ADANA'S VALUES”
Sümer said, “We warn from the rostrum at every opportunity. We try to attract attention at press conferences, unfortunately, it does not get any response. Adana is the province with the least investment among 30 metropolitan cities. Our young people are now running away from the cities. As we say that the government should increase investments in Adana and that Adana should be a production door again, public immovables in the most beautiful areas of our city are being destroyed. The saddest part is that not a single nail has been driven into Adana with the revenues obtained from here. It's a shame, it's a sin. It is unacceptable that the seven heritage understandings are made so scrupulously. It is as if the palace government has sworn to sell and destroy all the values of Adana.” Said.
“ADANA'S HISTORICAL TEXTURE IS DESTROYING”
Sümer said, “It is not possible to understand the government's attitude towards Adana. Our Adana is treated like a city under enemy occupation. This city had a historical texture, buildings and symbols that added value. They could not finish sata sata. Yet they are not satisfied. What else could the purpose of transporting the State Railways workshops be other than to offer the most valuable lands to the supporters? Apart from the rent and plunder of the business, the historical texture and structure of our city is unfortunately buried in concrete.” Said.
