In order to meet the increasing demand for high speed trains (YHT) operated by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, the number of daily trips will be increased from 40 to 42.
Hasan Pezük, General Manager of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, stated that since 2009, when the YHT operation started, the demand of the citizens for YHTs has increased continuously, except for the epidemic process, and that additional flights have been put in place or time increases have been made when necessary.
Finally, Reminding that they started to operate additional YHTs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to the passenger density especially at the weekend between Ankara and Istanbul, Pezük said that the additions will be operated every day of the week due to passenger demand on other days.

Underlining that YHTs offer fast, comfortable and economical transportation, Pezük continued: “YHTs have significantly shortened the travel time between the provinces they serve and have become a part of daily life. In addition to the speed, comfort and economic transportation we provide to our citizens with YHTs, we are constantly renewed in order to increase the quality of service and keep customer satisfaction high. As a result, we experience an increase in demand for all the trains we operate. Finally, we will start operating the additional flights between Ankara and Istanbul, which we started to operate on weekends, all week as of 12 December.”
Pezük has been using YHTs for a while due to improvement works.
