Metropolitan Mayor Hayrettin Güngör, who is examining the bridge and connection road project that will connect the north and south of the city, said, “We are building a 210-meter-long bridge and a 5-kilometer connection road that will bring the two sides of our city together. It's a huge investment. Thankfully, an important step has been reached. The beams of our bridge began to fall. Hopefully, we will be able to offer this road to the service of our fellow citizens as soon as possible.”

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hayrettin Güngör examined the bridge and connection road project that will bring the north and south of the city together. President Güngör, who received information about the latest status of the work with the journalists, stated that a huge investment was made in the region. Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Hayrettin Güngör, said in his statement, “As the Metropolitan Municipality, we have implemented a huge investment that is of great importance for the new development area of our city, Önsen and Kurtlar region. We are constructing a 210-meter-long bridge and approximately 5 kilometers of connection roads. Our ground filling works have been completed to a great extent. We have reached a very important stage in the production of bridges," he said.

Assembly Began in Bridge Beams

Stating that the beam assemblies of the 210-meter-long bridge within the scope of the project have also started, Chairman Hayrettin Güngör said, “An important stage has been passed in the 7-foot bridge we built over the Sır Dam within the scope of our project. Our teams started the assembly of beams between the legs. Hopefully, we will put this project into the service of our fellow citizens as soon as possible. Of course, the new development area of Kahramanmaraş is Önsen and Wolves. In this region, new houses are being built by TOKİ within the scope of Tekke Urban Transformation. In this region, which has a population of approximately 60 thousand, we foresee a settlement of 150 thousand people in the future. This work will significantly shorten the transportation to the region and will also alleviate the traffic load on Medalyalı Junction.

Imran Kilic's Name Will Be Given

President Hayrettin Güngör, who reiterated that the bridge that was built will be named after Kahramanmaraş Deputy İmran Kılıç, who passed away a short time ago, said, “We will keep the name of our brother, our Deputy İmran Kılıç, who passed away recently in this project. I announced it in our Provincial Advisory Council. We will keep the name of our deputy İmran Kılıç alive on the bridge we built in the region. I hope we will take the decision in this month's assembly. I commemorate our deputy, İmran Kılıç, with mercy once again," he said.

Another New Avenue Is Being Built

Adding that another important project has started in the Ağcalı Junction region, Metropolitan Mayor Hayrettin Güngör said, “We have started another project that will directly connect Ağcalı Junction to Adana Road in this region. We are building a new artery 4 kilometers long and 55 meters wide. This project will also be used by our fellow citizens who transit to Adana Road. In the second phase of this project we started, we will provide a direct connection to the Airport Junction. Our investments that will strengthen the transportation network of our city continue at full speed. Good luck to our city," he said.
