Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerIn line with the social municipality understanding of Turkey, 26 million 986 thousand liras of aid has been given from the beginning of November to the present, within the scope of the black winter supports initiated due to the increasingly severe economic crisis. Supporting thousands of households in İzmir for all their basic needs, from food to shelter, from clothing to heating, the Metropolitan Municipality continues to receive applications via bizizmir.com as well as the Mid-Winter Support Line at 444 40 35. Since the beginning of November, a total of 192 thousand 142 applications have been received.
There are six options
There are six options in the “Mild Winter Support Package”: cash aid, basic food demand, clothing aid, fuel, goods, diapers and food. Citizens can choose one or more of the aid topics on the Mid-Winter Support Application Form. Thus, citizens' support is not limited to a single option.

More than 20 thousand food packages
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has distributed 20 food packages from the beginning of November, within the scope of the Winter Winter Support. 104 million 5 thousand TL in cash support was provided to 815 households. 8 hygiene packages, 489 packages of baby diapers, 44 blankets and quilts, 983 stoves, 8 electric heaters, and 504 sacks of fuel were also distributed. 110 thousand 714 pieces of clothing and 445 toys for children were given to 897 households via Bizİzmir Clothing Point and Clothing Bus serving in Üçyol.
Hot meals are distributed at solidarity points
Hot meals for 490 thousand 788 people, food and breakfast for 20 thousand 408 people, pita bread for 150 thousand 500 people and soup for 36 thousand 440 people were served to public private education and boarding institutions and those in need through Solidarity Points.
20 thousand boots and coats, 4 thousand 20 celiac and phenylketonuri food parcels were delivered to primary and secondary school students in need. 831 citizens benefited from the hammam service, 78 citizens stayed in the hotel rented by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in the Basmane region. 124 household items were given to 516 households. Together with the cash aid, the cost of all these supports was 26 million 986 thousand liras.
125 million lira resource
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will make a total of 2021 million lira social assistance during the winter months covering the years 2022-125. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Chairman of the Republican People's Party, emphasized the importance of CHP municipalities to support citizens during the winter months.
