The Metropolitan Municipality has completed the 10-kilometer bicycle path that it started to work on in the Sakarya University Campus. The new roads in the campus added color to the university. Students now travel safely within the campus where they come with their bicycles.

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality carries out different activities throughout the city with the title of "Bike Friendly City". With the slogan “Our target is 500 kilometers of bicycle lanes” announced by President Ekrem Yüce, the bicycle path network is being expanded all over the city. In addition, with bicycle stops, SAKBIS bicycle rental points and new facilities implemented in this area, Sakarya's name is mentioned with bicycles in Turkey and even in the world.

10 kilometers bicycle path to SAU

In this context, the bicycle path works initiated at Sakarya University's Esentepe Campus in Serdivan have also been completed. The teams provided a 10-kilometer bike path covering all roads within the university. These new roads have added color to the university campus. The roads got a new look with the blue color symbolizing the bike. University students can now come to campus by bicycle and travel safely and comfortably within the campus.

In the statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality, "We are producing new projects in this field in Sakarya, where we have earned the title of Bicycle Friendly City. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we are working diligently to keep the bicycle at the center of our people. We want bicycles to be the first preferred means of transportation in our universities, roads, parks and all social areas. We invite thousands of university students in our city to cycle on the 10-kilometer bicycle path created at SAU. We want him to love the bicycle, which will bring a healthy life and peaceful traffic culture to Sakarya, and to include it in his life.
