EGO General Directorate, in cooperation with expert company trainers, prepares 76 articulated, solo and electric bus drivers, which were delivered in November within the scope of new bus purchase, for expeditions.

EGO Bus Department Training Chief İbrahim Erkaymaz stated that the bus drivers are given technical and theoretical training and then practical driving training for the new buses.

“We started training more than 2 drivers to put our buses into service. The training is given by Mercedes' own trainers. We provide training with a staff of four. In the 500nd and 2rd Regions, our trainings are given in groups of 3 people. We aim to provide more efficient training by keeping the number of drivers in our groups at a minimum. First, all technical information is given, and then we move on to practical training.”

Citizens will be able to travel more comfortably and safely thanks to the advanced technology of the buses, which are preferred as suitable for urban passenger transportation (M3 category class 1).

The buses, which are low-floor, air-conditioned, suitable for carrying bicycles, have passenger information screens, an announcement system and a double-entry USB port, also have facilitating access features for elderly, pregnant and disabled passengers (disabled ramps, special areas for electric and manual wheelchairs). The buses, which draw attention with their special security equipment, also have a vehicle tracking system, cameras (12 units) and a recording system.

In emergencies, when the panic button is pressed, the message will reach the EGO General Directorate Information Center directly, while the new buses will travel with cruise control limited to 70 kilometers.
