Intense interest in Turkish furniture in Dubai

Stating that the overseas marketing activities they carried out in Dubai within the scope of Hatay Furniture and Accessories URGE project were very successful, Onur Kılıçer, President of AKAMİB, said, “We encountered intense interest from Dubai companies. We extended the duration of the event, in which we had more than 250 bilateral meetings, by 1 hour, upon the request of companies from Dubai. This positive perception in Dubai, which is critical for us to increase our market share in the Gulf countries, motivated us.” Stating that they are planning an intensive promotional activity to increase exports in new markets next year, Kılıçer said, “We will organize commercial delegations to 4 corners of the world from Canada to Australia. We will further increase the momentum we have achieved in exports.”

Furniture manufacturer and sub-industrialist should develop solutions together

Underlining that the steps taken to overcome the problems in the supply of raw materials and intermediates in the recent period have also created grievances in the sector, President Kılıçer said, “The fact that the products produced by the supplier industry are included in the category of products subject to registration in the short term seems to have solved the problem of furniture manufacturers, but it causes grievances in the supplier industry. While solving the problem of a sector, it is necessary to develop a common solution without ignoring the expectations of the other sectors that feed it. Furniture manufacturers should come together with raw material and intermediate manufacturers and develop solutions that will strengthen the sector's strength and pave the way for the long term.
