A new regulation on the Minimum Living Allowance (AGI) is expected. It is said that the amount will increase to 456,13 liras with the tax refund.

While the depreciation of the Turkish lira brought with it incessant hikes in many areas, the eyes of millions of people were turned to the minimum wage negotiations. It was announced that the new figure will be announced sooner than expected.

In this process, it is said that a tax refund will be made in the Minimum Living Allowance (AGI).

According to Sabah newspaper, the 268,31 lira AGI paid for a single worker will be increased to 456,13 lira by adding the income tax. If the stamp tax is not collected, the contribution to the worker will increase to 483,28 liras.

WORKER WANTS 4 THOUSAND, EMPLOYER 3750 TL

The first negotiations on the minimum wage were held on 1 December. Government, worker and employer representatives took part in the Determination Commission.

Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, stated that as a result of the studies carried out, the worker side wants a minimum wage between 3750-4000 liras and the employer's side between 3500-3750 liras.
