Arslantepe Tumulus, Included in UNESCO List, to be Introduced to the World

A documentary was prepared by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications about the 7-year-old Malatya Arslantepe Mound, which was included in the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO this year and where the first state form in history emerged.

In order to promote the cultural heritage of Anatolia, a documentary about the 26-year-old Malatya Arslantepe Mound, which was included in the World Cultural Heritage List on July 2021, 7 by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, and where the first state form in history emerged, was prepared by the Presidency of Communications.

Prepared in Turkish and English to draw attention to Turkey's cultural richness, the documentary features the unveiling of an important value that has been engraved in the history of Anatolia's civilization and the process that followed until it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

In the documentary, information is given about the important artifacts unearthed in the excavations carried out so far in Malatya Arslantepe Mound, whose history dates back to 5 thousand BC. In addition, the historical heritage in which the aristocracy was born and the first state form emerged, with its 7-year history, is explained in detail in the documentary. The work in question will be presented to the public on the social media account of TRT Documentary and Presidency Communications Directorate.

In his statement regarding the documentary, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun stated that Anatolian geography has hosted many civilizations and nations throughout history, and said that Anatolia, with its ancient history and experience, more than deserves the title of "ancient heritage of humanity".
