EGO General Directorate will carry out a switch replacement and line renewal work between 11-12 December 2021, due to the detection of cracks in the train tracks of the ANKARAY Plant Dikimevi region and posing a risk to passenger safety. Buses with line number 300 will serve between AŞTİ-DIKİMEVI on the ANKARAY route in order to prevent the citizens from being victimized in ANKARAY, which will be closed for passenger transportation and operation between these dates. After the completion of the works, ANKARAY Operation will resume its normal flights on 13 December.

EGO General Directorate, which detected cracks on the train tracks as a result of the examination carried out in the Dikimevi region of the ANKARAY Plant, will carry out a switch change and line renewal work in this region for the first time in 25 years. ANKARAY will be closed to service due to the works that will continue between 11-12 December 2021.

The Department of Transportation Planning and Rail System will perform a switchover and line renewal work on the train tracks in the Dikimevi region of ANKARAY at the weekend.

ANKARAY will be closed to passenger transportation and operation between these dates within the scope of the urgent works to prevent the risk of rail breakage, train derailment, and situations that will endanger the operation and passenger safety. Buses with line number 300 will serve between AŞTİ-DIKİMEVI on the ANKARAY route in order to prevent the citizens from being victims.

ANKARAY WILL START NORMAL FLIGHTS FROM 13 DECEMBER

EGO General Directorate continues to make announcements at stations, while informing the residents of Başkent about the switch change and line renewal works through its social media accounts.

Pointing out that the scissor hub replacement should be done meticulously in the area where cracks were detected for passenger safety, ANKARAY Plant Branch Manager Onur Özcan gave the following information:

“As EGO General Directorate Ankara Enterprise, cracks have been detected in the truss hub at the entrance of Dikimevi Station. The scissor hub will change completely. ANKARAY will not be able to provide service between 11-12 December 2021 for operational safety and passenger safety. Buses numbered 300 will continue to serve between AŞTİ-DIKİMEVI on these dates. On December 13, ANKARAY will continue to serve again.”

ADDITIONAL MEASURES DUE TO THE EXAM FROM EGO ON DECEMBER 11

The General Directorate of EGO has also taken new measures to ensure that the candidates who will participate in the Assistant Revenue Specialist Entrance Exam (GUY) to be held by the Revenue Administration on Saturday, December 11, 2021, on the Gazi University Central Campus, will not have any difficulties in reaching the exam venues.
