Bicycle Paths Are Constructed for Every New Road Opened in Kayseri

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that they attach great importance to the work of bicycle paths in order to create an environmentally friendly transportation network, and said, "From now on, we are implementing the condition of having bicycle paths for all our roads."
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç supervised the road construction works, which continue between Erciyes Boulevard and Şehit Komandolar Avenue in the Erenköy District of Melikgazi district, and which are of special importance due to the connection to Talas Atatürk Boulevard.

Mayor Büyükkılıç, who received information about the latest situation from the contractor company, was accompanied by Deputy Secretary General of Metropolitan Municipality Hamdi Elcuman, Head of Science Affairs Department Ali Hasdal and Head of Studies and Projects Department Ahmet Şeref Bahçecioğlu.

BICYCLE ROADS ARE ALSO ADDED TO ALL OPENED ROADS

Making a statement here, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that they added the bicycle path route to their road construction works from now on, and said, “As Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, we are implementing the condition of having bicycle paths in all our roads that we have opened from now on, in addition to our previous works on bicycle paths. We will continue our efforts to make Kayseri an indispensable city for those who really use bicycles, with our pavement, bike path route and asphalt, and our application in this way.”

Büyükkılıç also pointed out that the efforts will continue uninterruptedly in order to provide a safe driving environment with bicycle transportation on a safe route and to improve the cycling habits of the people of Kayseri, and drew attention to the environmentalist dimension of the works.
