12 Airports Awarded International Airport Carbon Accreditation Certificate

12 airports operated by DHMI were entitled to receive Level 1 Certificate within the scope of Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Program conducted by Airports Council International (ACI).

The General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure carries out intensive studies to minimize the harm caused by carbon emissions to human health and the environment at environment- and passenger-friendly airports.

At airports, where necessary measures are taken against global warming and climate change, DHMI's efforts to reduce energy and natural resource consumption, which are among its priority targets, are also appreciated by international authorities. In this direction, the activities carried out were certified and crowned within the scope of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Program carried out by the Airports Council International (ACI).

International Airports in Gaziantep, Erzurum, Çanakkale, Balıkesir Koca Seyit, Bursa Yenişehir, Cappadocia, Sinop, Kahramanmaraş, Sivas Nuri Demirağ, Erzincan Yıldırım Akbulut, Adıyaman, Şerafettin Elçi Airports within the scope of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Program carried out by the Airports Council International (ACI). 1st Level Certificate was given within the scope of Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Program. Efforts to expand the process that started with 12 airports to more airports and to reduce carbon emissions from airports are continuing with determination.
