It can be said that it is usually seen after the age of 40. Effectively on this disease; There are many risk factors such as age, gender, obesity, genetic factors and occupational difficulties. It has been supported by studies that the incidence increases with age and that it is more common in women than in men.

How does obesity affect joint calcification?

High body mass index is an important risk factor for joint calcification. Obesity puts a lot of strain on the joints. In addition to increasing the load on the joints, it also alters the posture and gait, disrupting the joint biomechanics. For this reason, it is very important to lose weight with controlled nutrition and regular exercise for obese patients.

Another important feature of water, which is very important for our body, is that it provides support to the joints. Apart from water, the milk, ayran and kefir we consume also contribute to bone health with their high calcium content.

3. Reducing consumption of fatty red meat
