What is Leg Pain?

The pain sensation that starts from the lower back of the body and is characterized by real or possible tissue damage in the area up to the ankle is called leg pain. The pain that manifests itself in the leg can be caused by the bones and tissues in this region. It can cause leg pain in muscle aches and cramps.

What Causes Leg Pain?

There can be many reasons for leg pain. Especially if the leg pain has become permanent, if the pain increases due to a certain movement and causes movement restriction, then it is a sign of serious health problems.

Other causes of leg pain are herniated disc, nerve compression, atherosclerosis, restless legs syndrome, joint problems, diabetes, pregnancy and childhood growing pains.

Leg Pain Treatment

The patient complains of leg pain, but it is essential that the cause of the pain is correctly identified and the treatment is done according to this reason. Otherwise, because the real cause is overlooked, there can be no treatment, and the disease becomes chronic. Leg pains can be caused by the leg's own tissue as well as reflected pain can be felt in the leg. Problems arising from bones, joints, tendons, nerves, muscles and vessels can cause pain. Causes of leg pain can be counted as herniated disc, Priformis Syndrome, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Achilles Tendinitis, diabetes, restless legs syndrome, leg vascular problems. In addition, several reasons can coexist. The most obvious treatment is insufficient and the patient cannot recover. For this reason, even when there is only one cause, we often see that only one treatment method is insufficient. For this reason, our patients should definitely consult a specialist physician and ensure that their treatment is done adequately and properly.
