West Gar underground station multi-storey car park in the 3rd Stage Rail System Project, which was completed and put into service by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, is put into operation.
The 3rd Stage Rail System Project, which will strengthen the public transportation network of the Metropolitan Municipality, connects Varsak to the city center with the Otogar, Antalya Training and Research Hospital, and started to carry passengers as of Monday, October 25th. The works of the multi-storey car park with a capacity of 27 vehicles, located at the West Station, at a depth of 85 meters, to which the underground tunnels of the rail system are connected, have also been completed.
85 CAR CAPACITY
Nurettin Tonguç, Head of the Transportation Planning and Rail System Department of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, who gave information about the latest status of the multi-storey car park at the West Station Station, which combines the 1st and 3rd Stage Rail System Lines under the Bus Station Junction, said: There is a two-storey car park in the West Station, which is the intersection area. There are parking lots for a total of 1 vehicles, and 3 motorcycle and bicycle storage areas. The works have been completed and now we are opening the business. Antalya Transportation Inc. will use and operate the parking lot. We think that the car park will serve especially tram passengers.”
Nurettin Tonguç, Head of Transportation Planning and Rail System Department, also said that 1 shops on the West Station 34st Stage pedestrian connection tunnel within the scope of the project will serve.
